At the heart of SMG is the exciting retail store Sam Moon Trading Co. ("SM Trading"). SM Trading was established in 1984 by David and In Sun Moon as a regional grocery wholesaler. Over the years, it quickly transformed into Dallas' wholesale destination for women's accessories and handbags. When SM Trading opened to the public in 1994, the company thrived while maintaining wholesale prices that gave the company a competitive advantage.
By extending the company's B2B wholesale pricing policy to retail clients, SM Trading began to rise to become the premier women's accessories and handbags supermarket. A second SM Trading store was opened in Frisco, Texas in 2003 to meet the huge demand for merchandise at the company's competitive price points
