Mochi Kids started as Amanda's hobby and has grown into a family business. When Amanda's son was four years old, he became obsessed with Thomas the Train. In fact, he wants to wear the same Thomas Train shirt day in and day out. Amanda was tired of that shirt, but still wanted him to be happy in his clothes, so I started making t-shirts that we both loved, with designs inspired by his favorite things that I could support in terms of aesthetics and materials. Initially, I only designed and screen printed t-shirts for my son, but the demand slowly grew. I started giving my t-shirts as baby gifts, then selling them to friends and family, and eventually Mochi Kids was born.
