Laura Mercier was born in Provence, France and entered the French painting school at the age of 17. When her ambition shifted from painting to face painting, she decided to study makeup at Carita School, a famous makeup school in Paris. After graduation, she worked as a professional makeup artist at the school and taught makeup classes. In 1985, Laura came to New York and joined the American ELLE team. There, she immediately started her ad makeup work. She has worked with clients such as L'oreal Paris, Maybelline, VICTORIA'S SECRET, Gap, Banana Republic and many other well-known cosmetic and clothing companies. In 1996, Laura established her own makeup brand dedicated to serving women of all ages and skin types. She herself participates in product development and develops classic and timeless colors that delight customers.
