As a New Zealander, Tim Brown has always understood the magical qualities of Merino wool. Curious by nature, he began to ask himself why there was so little of this extraordinary, sustainable resource in the shoe industry. With this spirit of wonder, the journey of Allbirds begins. After years of research and tinkering, Tim teamed up with engineer and renewable energy expert Joey Zwillinger. Together, they created a revolutionary wool fabric made especially for footwear. The result is a whole new category of footwear inspired by natural materials, and an ongoing mantra of making better things, better ways.
