Sarah Rundle was the visionary who brought Espadril to the United States. Born and raised in South Africa, Sarah is passionate about its people, culture and incredible entrepreneurship. After moving to Annapolis in 2016 to raise her family, it was her dream to promote in the US market and support the local South African trade. After purchasing and wearing the Espadril brand in South Africa and trusting in the craftsmanship and quality of the product, she met Rizqah and Patricia, the dynamic and creative founders behind the brand, and brought Espadril to the US.
The 'esparto' rope soles are made in Spain and brought to South Africa where, with incredible craftsmanship, they are hand transformed into our unique range of espadrilles. Every pair of shoes sold supports not only the men and women who make them by hand, but also their families and communities.
