MINNA was founded by Sara Berks in Brooklyn, NY in 2013 and moved to Hudson, NY in 2016, where our store and studio are now located. We work with master artisans in Central and South America to create versatile products that ensure the preservation of craftsmanship and job creation in these regions. Our patterns, colors and textures are designed to be mixed, matched and layered for today's modern home. Designs are inspired by feminist art, Bauhaus, traditional crafts and vintage textiles.
The name MINNA comes from Sara's maternal grandmother's name, which arose when she arrived in the United States from Germany in 1940. Sara loves this story: nostalgia with a touch of rebellion
