Rael was founded in 2017 by three women from South Korea, including CEO Yanghee Paik. One of the biggest culture shocks after moving to the US was the lack of quality feminine care. Compared with Korea's advanced technology and design, American sanitary napkins and tampons mostly contain harsh chemicals that irritate the skin, or are made of natural ingredients but do not work. To capture the comfort and performance they knew, the trio created their own solutions, combining high-quality organic materials from the US with cutting-edge manufacturing in Korea to provide a clean and incredibly effective self-care alternative , to support women throughout their lives.
