O'Neill was originally a California surfwear and board brand founded in 1952 by Jack O'Neill. By the end of the century, it moved along the coast from San Francisco to Santa Cruz. Jack invented the wetsuit, and his son Pat invented the surfboard strap. The company logo symbolizes the raging waves.
